 | GLENDENNIN'S PRIDE CD, RAE, NAP, NJP, VDA RL1 Glennie's "assumed" birthday is August 20, 2000. He was abandoned in a Detroit alley one very warm spring day. He arrived in Rescue, a very scared little boy. He bonded closely with his foster sister, Molly, as we worked to socialize him. And it soon became clear that they should not be separated. Molly had adopted him in her heart and mom soon followed. Glennie came to us through Rescue but he is no longer a "rescue dog"; I prefer to think of him as "adopted". When he came he had had a lot of bad experiences at a very young age and was truly impacted by them. But he is now 9 years old and has worked his whole life to overcome these issues. Glennie will always have some aspects of his personality that are different than they might have been due to his early experiences but he is no longer "handicapped" by them. Glennie is a mature and confident dog now and deserves to shed the label of "rescue". |
